The 38 year old pitched a 2-hit shutout against Chicago (N), recording his 1st shutout of the season. 'Today I just felt fine. I had a good feeling while warming up.' Monbouquette (18-7) fanned 4 and walked 2, throwing 108 pitches. Don Dillard provided New York (N) with the offense Monbouquette needed as he got 2 hits in 3 AB, hitting a homerun, scoring 2 runs and collecting 3 RBI. New York (N) scored 8 runs on 6 hits.
