Wednesday 10/5/1975: Gene Clines out for 6-7 weeks
CALIFORNIA - California's shortstop Gene Clines suffered a serious injury when he was struck by a pitch from Kansas City's Harry Parker. He collapsed in pain and was helped off the field. Clines will probaby miss 6-7 weeks. California wasted no time and rushed him to an hospital. Team officials were informed later that Clines had suffered a Broken Cheekbone. Clines has walked 26 times this year and posts a .303 OBP. While batting .270, 159 for 589, he has driven in 51 runs.
