Anyone considering reservations can refer to the list below; if there is a non-top 10 player you are considering reserving, let me know. A couple players split time pretty evenly between teams, so I based it on their WAR with each team.
You guys have until late tonight to reserve a player!
Potential Reservations:
1. 3B Wade Boggs (BOS) 2. LF Rickey Henderson (OAK) 3. SP John Tudor (STL) 4. SP Danny Darwin (TEX) 5. SP Jack Morris (DET) 6. SP Dave Stewart (OAK) 7. 1B Leon Durham (CHC) 8. SP Rick Honeycutt (OAK) 9. SP Mike Scott (HOU) 10. SP Don Robinson (PIT)

Wow thought there was no way Break would shy away from both Nomar and Pedro in the future, but I guess he'll have to give up Nomar now.

Just wanted to make this known:
Break can certainly reserve Boggs and, yes, will be giving up all 3 picks in 1977.
The problem is that given that Break does not have any picks in this draft, it's the Draft Day Jump Fee is going to be the greatest possible value. There are 26 teams, 3 pickable rounds, so the value is 78.
So...Boggs will cost:
10 for Reservation Fee 84 for WAR5 ((9.1, 8.4, 8.3, 8.2, 8.0) * 2, rounded) 78 for Draft Day Jump Fee
10 + 84 + 78 = 172 points. That's almost the entire bank. Not do you only give up Pedro, but you probably give up Nomar, Manny, etc. Really you give up everyone. You get loyalty points back and some extra points beginning in 2000, but it'll only be in the 50's or 60. So maybe Xander?
Just wanted you to be aware of that. I'll close the thing at noon to let you think about it and we'll start the draft with Matt C on the clock.
FA is tonight now that some teams exported.

You're killing me, Smalls.
*Edit: I quoted the FA statement from Chris' last post, but our stupid work system erased it. Go figure.

How much it cost for me to get don Robinson? i may want to do it since pirates have zero reservation people

You have 102 points in your bank, so you COULD do it, but I imagine you'd consider reserving Andrew McCutchen or... um... Jason Kendall lol?

Denny Neagle perhaps ... and depending on his trajectory, Starling Marte

So we're in 1976; McCutchen was drafted in 2005. That's 29 seasons. A season takes about 8 weeks + vacations once in a while. I'd estimate about 3.8, close to 4 years. I'm going to estimate April, 2021 lol

And I spoke with Break to confirm the ramifications. He understands. Which means everyone is tanking in 1987 (Pedro signed as an amateur free agent with the Dodgers in 1988).

Then maybe he should just be allowed to sign with the Dodgers in 1988. For a league that strives for realism, that's as real as it gets.
