League Setup Changes with Waiting List

The league will expand several times at the same time MLB had done so in an effort to maintain some sort of reasonable "accuracy" as history is recreated, as more fully described below. This thread is to provide existing owners and anyone on the waiting list an opportunity to claim your favorite team that had not yet existed beyond the HOFFBL Original 16.



League Setup Changes

1954: St. Louis Browns move to Baltimore and become Orioles
1955: Philadelphia Athletics move to Kansas City
1958: Brooklyn Dodgers move to Los Angeles; New York Giants move to San Francisco; Major Realignment #1
1961: Washington Senators move to Minnesota and become Twins and realign to AL West; Detroit Tigers realign to AL East; Add Los Angeles Angels to AL West; Add Washington Senators to AL East; Switch from 154 to 162-game schedule
1962: Add New York Mets to NL East; Add Houston Colt .45s to NL West
1965: Houston Colt .45s renamed Astros
1966: Los Angeles Angels renamed California Angels; Milwaukee Braves move to Atlanta
1968: Kansas City Athletics move to Oakland
1969: Major Realignment #2; Add Kansas City Royals to AL Central; Add Seattle Pilots to AL West; Add Montreal Expos to NL East; Add San Diego Padres to NL West
1970: Seattle Pilots move to Milwaukee and become Brewers
1972: Washington Senators move to Texas and become Rangers and realign to AL West; Milwaukee Brewers realign to AL Central; Cleveland Indians realign to AL East
1973: Add Designated Hitter to American League

1977: Add Toronto Blue Jays to AL East; Add Seattle Mariners to AL West; Minnesota Twins realign to AL Central

1993: Add Florida Marlins to NL East; Add Colorado Rockies to NL West; Houston Astros realign to NL Central

1997: California Angels renamed Anaheim Angels

1998: Add Tampa Bay Devil Rays to AL East; Cleveland Indians realign to AL Central; Milwaukee Brewers realign to NL Central; Add Arizona Diamondbacks to NL West

2005: Anaheim Angels renamed Los Angeles Angels; Montreal Expos move to Washington and become Nationals

2008: Tampa Bay Devil Rays renamed Rays

2012: Florida Marlins renamed Miami Marlins

Major Realignment #2 (1969)

AL East: BAL, BOS, NYY, WAS

NL Cent: CHN, CIN, PIT, STL

I'm thinking we don't need but maybe two more expansion teams. No way we're going to find enough good owners to continue adding teams.
