Hey everyone it's Pete here with some news of the notable in Hot'Lanta. With Payroll way over budget last year da'Braves had to part ways with their closer and it was anyone's guess how things would shake out. Who would have known that one of brianh's first moves with the team would be so spectacular as when the game was on the line, putting the ball in Warren B's hand. He has been nothing but spectacular, and at one point had a 0.00 era and 12 saves. In 35 game appearances (we'll ignore his one stinker) he is 3-0 with 21 saves and only 5 Runs allowed in 34.2 IP.
Warren will hardly ever strike you out, but he will make you look silly trying to get a hit.
What was admittedly a band aid for the season according to Atlanta manager brianh looks like it could be the start of a 200+ save career
Tale of 2 years strangeness:
This year Atlanta through 116 games, has been 28-32 at home while being an amazing 33 - 23 on the road. What is so weird about this is last year they had a .580 record at home while being 15 games under on the road. If the Braves had near the success at home this year as last to go with the road prowess they would be a legitimate post season threat. As much as we all are enjoying the festivities of the pennant run this year, realistically this fun bunch of oddballs have little chance of going to the WS dance...
