Atlanta is riding playoff fever into the second highest attendance total ever for the franchise, and even if there is only one playoff game at home, the previous mark should fall. For about the last 20 home games all games have been sell outs, and this seasons take at the gate is an increase of over 6.5 million.
Common sights from the announcer booth has been to see nary a seat open for many weeks now
The guys in marketing have some formula for figuring out just how rabid the fans are for the braves and since brianh took over the team, the score marketing has for that value has risen from 60 to 85.
Many in the sporting world have the braves at best taking 1 game in the upcoming series, but who knows, maybe this bunch of misfits that were suppose to flirt with 100 losses can keep the magic alive for a little longer. Pat Dobson seemed to right his ship to finish the season so if nothing else there should at least be a spectacular game when he takes the mound, win or loose.
While we don't have the pleasure of calling the game, you know Skip and I will be watching.
