Please use proper coding or symbolic logical operators, and not internet slang... just being a snob here plus the code version is shorter to write code: length of time != knowledge slo: ¬(length of time ∀ knowledge) have you ever checked out logical fallacies yourlogicalfallacyis.com/I recommend it, might help you with your debate style Not sure what logical fallacy I used. I just said that age and length of time means nothing in regards to knowledge, which is completely true. maybe look at the section that was quoted for the reply... since what you attributed it to wasn't quoted, but I'll give you a hint to one of them, when you say you are x because you have done y, is an appeal to authority, and or could be qualified as at least one other

If i was saying it's a fact I know more than you because x, then you'd be right.

So you knowingly changed your vote from the guy who is the best to the guy who isn't because of politics. That's not karma that's being an ass. For the record I voted for Klimkowski and I'm not changing it because I don't let my grudges make me act like a little bitch.

"I've also run my own league for over 2 years now, which puts me in a position to learn a lot more in a shorter amount of time" Because I've done x, then y. You seem to need help diagramming logical statements. I'd suggest a refresher in critical thinking, or taking a class in it.

Here's the difference between you and me, Klimkowski should be running away with that vote, it's not hard to see. It's disappointing when I jump on here and he's losing to Clay Carroll. What I don't do is jump on here and start complaining. I'm guessing maybe people are tired of Klimkowski winning it every year? Who knows. I missed the playoffs, maybe that's it. Either way, is what it is. You immediately make it about you and start taking offense. Then, as if a self fulfilling prophecy...............it does become about you. I highly doubt I'm the only one who did it. Can't imagine that many people think Aker shouldn't win.

There's no reason a guy who's 3-7 with less saves, a higher ERA, higher WHIP, should beat a guy who's better than him and 4-2 at the same time. That means there's a non stat reason people are voting for him. It's called logic.

Especially with a closer, where "doing good on a bad team" is easier, because if your team isn't good and you're ahead you have more save opportunities because you're much more likely to be ahead by less.

seems you are at least aware of the term, now to get you to use actual arguments that don't have logical fallacies (ex: ad hominems like "little bitch") in them...

You need to understand that I didn't say x because y, i said that I do x so variable y probably is different from someone who didn't do x. That's not a definitive statement. You're treating it like I said it was.

I'm done having a silly argument over this. The stats speak for themselves.

I'm done having a silly argument over this. The stats speak for themselves. precisely where you should have started from. Keep that in mind, as it will help you in the future avoid the pitfalls of becoming emotional over something meaningless to the point you start insulting others just because they do something that you find annoying. Absolutely no reason to become insulting.

I was simply disappointed my former longtime closer never won this award despite one great season after another. Someone else always happened to have better stats and although I have my fair share of people I don't get along with here, I would hope that no one would vote against a deserving player just to spite someone. I've never agreed with this because it takes away from the integrity of the voting itself.
If this really happens more than I think it does, then what's the point of doing these polls if egos and forum politics are gonna have such an effect? I get why Chris got rid of league leader points because the good teams would almost always rack up more points but again, if people are voting against certain players just to spite the gm, we shouldn't do these polls anymore imo.

Integrity of voting? You can vote for whoever you wanna vote for. Reasoning isnt necessary. Next.

Strat o matic? Brian did we just become best friends??? played the football version non stop with my best friend in HS had our own fantasy teams. Even wrote a DB with custom inputs using basica to track all our stats for games / seasons, the BB one mainly did in a solitaire mode. Will always hold a special place in my heart.

I owned
1986 MLB and NFL 1989 NBA MLB and NFL.
Played them for hours. Played multiple full Giants seasons. Played about 8 weeks of the NFL 1989 season. Tracked stats for all those seasons with a trusty pencil and eraser. Ended up making my own cards based on previous seasons cards for newer years because we couldnt afford to get the game every year.
Main reason why I still love sims.

In typical break fashion, his player wins the award and he still complains

I think and NBA was either 83 or 84 we tracked stats on paper and pen for most of the seasons, didnt write the program till right before I moved to FtL I think we played 7 seasons with our custom teams in the 2.5 yr span that we had the game in football. I think I only got 1 season in with BB as 162 * 10 (I had 20 teams) takes a long fucking time damn, sitting at my desk thinking about far simpler times
