Since WTCG has already focused on D Morris and V Romo recently we'll skip covering them again for the season wrap up.
The ace of the pitching staff is still Pat Dobson
For the 2nd straight year he was part of the NL All Stars, and was in the top 5 in WHIP, ERA, SO, #6 in IP and #7 in shutouts. With a 17-12 record he also finally reached the 200 win milestone. When he takes the mound the offense can take the day off, and unfortunately they often do... The way he pitches it's a crime that he doesn't have 20 wins every year.
Another victim of low run support, Marshall was 13-14 with a 3.60 era. While not a truly dominating pitcher, Mike still has great control of the ball. His record could have easily been 20-7 as most of his losses were heart breakers.
Pat Zachry
At 25 Pat is the youngest member of the starting rotation. A solid pitcher, that gives you the opportunity to win on any given day, just not a guy that will consistently dominate the opposition. When he takes the mound, the team cannot be asleep at the plate with their bats on their shoulder. He finished the season 15-12 and a 3.90 ERA. To win 20 he'll need a great defense behind him that has quite a bit of pop in their bats. He is a quality #3 - 5 starter and will go out every game and give you what you need to compete.
Warren Brusstar
The man called when the game is on the line. The surprise closer that stepped up and dominated when handed the ball last season was an amazing story line. Going 6-3 with 27 saves, and showing he has nerves of steel, Warren may be the real deal. Down the stretch he had some shaky outings, but by far and away he dominated when the game was on the line.
