Holy cow Braves fans, get out your gloves and come to the ball park as Joe Rudi is coming to town. The man the legend the HR cranking machine will soon be hitting balls to your gloves, so come catch a few, and who knows what kind of historical memorabilia one of the balls of his bat may become.
For his career he has hit 161 home runs and 35 of those came last year along with 128 rbi's. Rudi on 1st should more than make up for the departure of Ress in CF's 15 dingers last year. While the conversation was held off the record, the rumor mill is if he hits 39 hr next year, Ted Tuner said he will do a firework show at FCS to mark his 200th career, like has never been seen before here in the south.
This is the last year of Rudi's contract, so it'll be interesting if he stays in a Brave uniform for more than a year, as the GM has already said he will not keep anyone around with the kind of contract Rudi currently has.
