Everyone knows speed kills, but it literally killed ATL's stranglehold on the 1st round. Atl had 3 first round picks and in a move that has the whole town scratching their heads, Atl traded tow of them away for Gene Richards out of StL's minors system. Everyone says this kid can play ball, but was he worth two first round picks?
We in the booth certainly hope so, but this new GMs style keeps us guessing as to if he is a mad genius or just flippin' raving mad.
When it comes to pure speed and ability on the base paths, there is no doubt, Gene is as elite as they come, but is that enough?
One things for sure, the bat will always die in his hands as he chokes it to death...
