Trying to make moves to replenish the system here without totally throwing in the towel quite yet. Cubs move MR (and soon to be SP I'm sure) Ken Brett to the Orioles in exchange for RP Doug Capilla (AAA), RP Andy Hassler (AAA), RP Brad Leslie (A) and the Orioles 1st round and 3rd round draft picks in the 1979 Amateur Draft. I'm hoping this doesn't come back to bite me in the ass. I've waited for Brett to show me he can be a starter and at some point he just became more valuable in my bullpen. I like the two lefties I'm getting back and I've had a hard time acquiring lefties in this league. I think Leslie has closer stuff and the picks will come in handy as I've kind of traded most of the depth of my system. I'll post instructions before the next sim.
Please put Hassler in middle reliever 2 spot in bullpen, put Capilla in AAA and Leslie in A and run auto on the pitching staffs at those levels please. Thanks.
