I asked you about this before, but I cannot find where. I wanted to make sure we were all (not just me, this will affect everybody) on the same page.
There are several players on my roster that are showing as being arbitration eligible this offseason. A lot of those should still have league minimum years remaining. I believe you said you could manually override this, correct? Is this something we need to point out to you now, or in the off season, after the file flip?
Examples of such players on my roster:
Tim Thompson Milliken Gilliam Moryn Jacobs
I think the following players are being treated correctly, but would like you to look. I think these are guys that had contracts at the time the league started? Not sure, going blank on how these guys have been treated in past leagues.
Keegan Moore

Keegan Moore I think I said I would address each on a case-by-case basis and simply edit contracts as necessary. There may be some players where I would have to establish an arbitration value, and I have yet to hit those, but I think I would just base it on the numbers of gold stars (1.0 = 350k, 1.5 = 450, 2.0 = 600, 2.5 = 750, 3.0 = 1M, 3.5 = 2M, 4.0 = 3.5M, 4.5 = 5M, 5.0 = 6.5M)? I also received a key program that would allow me to edit career stats (so I can fix players who have pitching stats for some reason---like Minoso and Rice) and maybe they can allow me to reset the number of experience? In either case, it would be difficult to do a clean sweep, so it has to be brought to my attention and done so on a case-by-case basis at file flip (I won't edit contracts in the middle of the season).

I would assume it's one of the players who had a major league contract when the file was first created? If so, then these are the players Jeremy is referring to. Otherwise, I wonder how OOTP5 handles 30+ year old rookies, do they still get the 6 years of control?

History does matter with the minimum contracts and arbitration years.
The guys that started this league with "history" before the game started are treated the same way as players that might get called up at a young age, burn through 6 years of playing time, sign a MLC, and sit in the minors for a few years. When you call them up again, 5 years after they've played in the Majors, and at the age of 34 (or whatever), they get that first year of $300k salary, but they will be free agents after the season, b/c of their early playing days.
I don't think the game is handling those guys incorrectly.

I know Banks, Baczewski and Vern Morgan are incorrect on my team.

I looked at those 3 players on the Cubs with the program and it does have an extra year of service for them (2) when it should be (1). I changed it to (1), looked at the team's financial report and they came up as "Automatic Resign" instead of "Arbitration (Estimate: $xxx)"
So yes, I am able to this problem. But in order to be fair, I have to go team by team and fix this issue. I suppose that's a weekend jobber.

Bummer. Is it at least relatively quick to fix for each person?
Appreciate you looking into this, and finding a solution.

Put it on each GM. If they can't take 5 minutes to look then they don't deserve to have their players fixed.

Fair enough. Let's send this over to Gripes then.
