On a cool September afternoon the man of Ice took the mound having had a rough 78 season, and looking to show that Atlanta wasn't making a mistake by adding two more years to his contract, Mr Dobson let his arm do the talking and told his critic "shut the F*** up, I aint too old to play this game".
As the season has closed out over the last 6 games Dobson has been 3-2 with a 1.21 ERA, indicating the offence just isn't playing as in those 6 games, as only once has he given up more than a run.
Back to Sept 19th in St Louis, while only 16000 came out to see the game, all those that decided to not show up missed one of the better pitching exhibitions of the season. 29 batters faced, 8k's, 12 grounders and 7 flyballs accounted for all the outs, while the only two cardinals to set foot on base did it via a free pass.
In the top of the 2nd, Atlanta managed to string three hits together to account for all of their scoring. Sid started it off with a single
followed by Otis' double that brought Sid home
and finished with Johnstones' single that brought Otis home.
