Right Fielder Gene Richards had a pretty decent year at the plate batting 288 with 11 dingers and moved up to lead the NL in stolen bases with 79 in 79 after finishing 3rd in 78 with 65.
1st baseman Reggie Jackson was spectacular, joining a rare few with a 40/40 season, becoming a member of the 100/100 club for the 3rd time in his career, but sadly pretty much sucked ass in the post season. For a guy that has a nickname synonymous for post season play, he was about as successful as Lloyd Christmas hooking up with a Maui Tan bikini girl once the playoff started.
Rookie Dale Murphy brought home rookie of the year award, and fell an rbi shy of a 100/100 season, but did have 64 stolen bases to go along with all his other stats.
Steve Yeager was the surprise catch in free agency and was solid behind the plate while putting up his normal darn good offensive numbers. Sadly when the braves needed him the most, he was on the bench nursing an injury.
The rest of the supporting cast was pretty solid, with Mookie Wilson, UL Washington and Syd OBien all batting above 275, 92 stolen bases between UL and Mookie and Syd belting 14 Homers.
