Well Braves fans here are the guys shining in the minors that have a great chance of making the 81 opening day roster:
#1
Gary Redus
Good at the plate with good power, this guy can play 5 positions and has a strong chance to take LF away from Mookie Wilson which would leave the Braves with the best backup outfielder in the majors. His swing has the potential to add 14-24 homers a year for the Braves and his speed and ability on the base path make him likely to avg move than 30 steals a year.
#2
Mark Brouhard
Another jack of many positions, Mark is good at the plate with good power and as a starter would likely add 14 - 24 homers a year for the Braves, and as a backup would probably serve up 5 - 10. Marks ability on the base path will not scare any catcher... ever but what he lacks for speed he makes up for being an amazing left fielder and a good right field / third base. Since it will be most likely Redus in Left / Richard in Right, the question is, would he be able to unseat U.L. at third.
#3
Rafeal Ramirez
This kid can just flat out play second or short good at the plate, but will never strike fear of the longball into anyone other than the batting practice pitcher... at most. He has amazing range at both short and second, however he has been shown to have more butter fingers when playing short. Much more likely to seem him playing second next year as the elder Syd O'brien has started to show his age there.
Can one or all of these guys be like this former number one from a couple weeks ago, August 2nd - 23rd and end up being Magic?
