OAKLAND - Steve Rogers had some fun again. REAL fun. Oakland hitters did not. Milwaukee's right-hander fired a no-hitter in his 1st shutout of the season. He now has 14 career shutouts in 260 games started. 'Well, the ball went where I wanted it. I was able to hit the corners with all of my pitches. I'm so happy that it was enough to pitch such a great game.' Rogers (10-4) did not have perfect control, walking 6. He struck out 4. The hitting star for Milwaukee was third baseman Buddy Bell, he finished 2 for 4, blasting a homerun, hitting a double, scoring two runs and driving in 4 runs. Now I'll start concentrating on my next start, and hopefully it will work again.' Gullett (10-2) struck out 6 and issued 1 BB, throwing 76 of 116 pitches for strikes. Willie Montanez provided San Francisco with the offense Gullett needed as he finished 3 for 5, hitting a homerun, hitting a double, and collecting 3 RBI.
