What is everyone's thoughts on discontinuing the points for AS game? They seem to be a small amount of points for mostly the good teams anyway. I'd rather boost points for participation (exports).

What about a 5 point bonus for every team that gets every single export in for an entire season? That's incentive for participation.

Seems like you always miss one/some exports.

I don't know, that's a bit excessive. I try to export regularly but occasionally I'll be traveling or have computer issues and miss one here or there.

Edit: I looked it up. Last year I only missed one export between OD and Sept 1, but then I didn't bother to export in Sept because I was out of it. This year I have missed two. One I believe was because my computer died and it took me a few days to figure out how to set up the game on a temp machine. Not sure about the other one.

Point is, I don't really think its fair to penalize active owners who don't make every single sim.

I'm an active owner on here way too much. I don't always get exports in for every sim. Sometimes I send Chris a quick message saying here's my export.

Would I care if everyone else got 5 points for me missing an export? Nope. They did a better job than me.

That being said, maybe a bonus based on how many exports you've made? Every export an extra 10. Missed 1-2 exports 9 points, etc.

Yeah, being able to hit every export during a 2-month (or whatever) period while living your life is difficult. That's why I suggested a bonus! But I suggested only 5 points because I thought anything more might be excessive.

Chris seemed to want to award points for participation, so that was just an idea. It can either be a starting point towards an idea, or it can be completely unpopular, but I'm just getting the discussion started.

ASG points are always fun to get. Taking away these points completely makes the ASG irrelevant for us each season beyond simply reading names.

I was just thinking of maybe a special reward for players that make 10 ASG appearances before realizing that keeping track of everyone wouldn't be so easy lol

I would bump up the points for the off-season and opening day points for you =)

In fact, I would bump up everyone's points for various jobs.

I am thinking of 2 points for each actual export, but 1 point for "no export", posting a camp/transaction or otherwise being online in the past 24 hours (on forum) when no export is submitted --- and no points for zero silence.

still wish there was an easy way to encourage trying (aka anti tanking) like a bonus for being > 500, so that it's not just for the best teams etc
