Hey Braves fans, it's Skip and Pete here with another wrap up for the week in Braves baseball.
Another week and the same story, Richie even though he didn't send any yard is still in first place for the homer derby and Tom still is showing everyone how to win, and win some more. The braves ended up with 2 days off this week so they only played five, wining 3 of the 5. The week started with another win over the dodgers capping that 4 game series at 3-1, heading into a weekend series against the cubs that culminated in a 9-0 shellacking of the cubs on Saturday. The last game of the week set saw the Giants hand the Braves and Tom his first loss and the teams first loss in a game he started.
People around the organization are starting to wonder if Reggie might be starting to show his age as we're now 6 weeks into the season and he only has sent 4 ball yard, in 132 plate appearances. Right now he's avg a dinger every 30 at bats, where just a season ago it was one every 13ish at bats. Maybe he needs to take the morning train into work to find his stroke again lest he ends up like the rest of us working 9-5.
