Pete: Hey Braves fans, it's Skip and Pete here with another wrap up for the two last weeks in Braves baseball.
Skip: Well over the last 2 weeks the Braves have had multiple days off and only have won 6 of the last 10.
Pete: While that is pretty dang good, of late it would is a let down as the Braves have been playing near 700 ball all season.
Skip: Seems Detroit and Atlanta are the creme de la creme this season, and both teams are comfortably in first place in their respective leagues.
Pete: Reggie has just put on an absolute clinic since finding his grove, and is now in the lead for most dingers in the NL, and Tom, well he is just utterly phenomenal, the deal with the Mets has been amazing thus far and Mr Turner has hinted that Atlanta will see the most amazing fireworks when he hits 300 wins
Skip: The way he's been pitching, it almost seamed like he would get to 300 this year. While he was still one of the most dominate pitchers in the league, he just wasn't getting the support in NY to get the win totals he is getting in Atlanta since the waive trade...
Pete: It was amazing how he negotiated his latest contract, wanting to keep the team together so he has a great chance of getting a WS ring. Clearly he could have gotten more money, but decided a great team and a ring or two was worth more to him than finding a new club.
Skip: The Braves pitching as a whole, has been utterly amazing, as a team they have an era of 2.49 and have allowed the fewest runs of any team.
Pete: For the first time, I would have to say the Braves have no wants on their team, they are solid at every position with quality backups, so unlike Rick, the team isn't longing for someone else's player...
