Pete: Hey Braves fans, it's Skip and Pete here with another wrap up for the two last weeks in Braves baseball.
Skip: So the Braves started the season.... flat... on their backs, the Philly's avenged their playoff sweep by just destroying the Braves and sweeping the opening series.
Pete: Thankfully the Expos were not up to continue the destruction of the World Champs, and after six straight on the road, the Braves where 3-3
Skip: The Mets came to town to open the home games at Fulton County Stadium, and just Thrashed Matlack with 6 runs over 6 inning, and the relievers continued to smell up the field...
Pete: Since then the Braves have been playing fairly well racking up 8 straight wins including sweeping the Philly's 4 straight back on their home turf.
Skip: During the 8 game streak, not a single game did the opponent score more than 2 runs, with the Braves allowing a total of only 11 runs over those 8 games.
Pete: Some of the highlights from the early season are, Murph hit 3 dingers in a game against Montreal
Skip: Housman and Robinson are both 3 - 0 in 3 starts
Pete: The youngster of the staff Fulgham has a .36 ERA over 25 innings
Mr Doug "automatic save" Corbett, already has 6 saves
Pete: Hebner, Jackson, Murph, and Roenicke all have at least 3 homers
Skip: Those bash quadruplets sure make going to the ballpark a fun experience as you are pretty much guaranteed to see one of them strike.
Pete: Any of them could be Sports Illustrated Boys of Summer centerfold
Skip: I've never noticed that part of the magazine
Pete: Really... hmmm maybe I was thinking of another magazine, after listening to one of the hottest songs in the land today
