I don't know how this game picks the All-Star teams, but Stan Thomas over John Fulgham seems downright silly. I realize at the time Thomas had something like a 0.60 ERA, but that was over less than 30 innings, and he had 2 wins and 0 saves. Fulgham had double-digit wins and an ERA close to 1.50 over 130 innings.

Also love seeing two players that I got rid of make the team I thought letting Cey go was objectively correct, but it just didn't work out that way. His OPS was on a steady 6-season decline and he had just turned 34. I thought his .690 OPS from last season would be easy to replace.

Not a single All Star. That's absurd.

John Denny is 10-4 with an ERA of 1.83 but he's not good enough. Don Wilson is 11-2 with a 3.15 ERA but that's not good enough either. This game is incredibly arbitrary in how it selects all stars. I think it all comes down to wins for SP, which is nonsense.

Only prospects in my opinion are worth teaching new positions to unless you wanna do it in spring training. Once a guy is up, the way I see it, the positions he has before the call up are the only ones he will ever play.

And 1B is by far the easiest position to learn. 1B should take about a month for any prospect to learn.
