I'd be surprised you had the 3rd overall at one point. I'm curious where you were on 7/31 and 9/1. There's probably a way to find out, my team wasn't in terrible shape leading up to the deadline, but I had a few injuries, Cooper for 6 weeks, Smalley for quite some time, lost a pitcher and then traded one away and had to start Murphy, who was terrible. I know before last sim I was tied with one or two teams for the 3rd pick, but I think it goes alphabetical, which would have given me the 3rd pick. Smalley had a really nice week back from he DL, 2 HR's, 7-3 last 10! Yeah, lol. I checked, you never were close to the 3rd overall pick. 5/10 you had the 10th pick, 6/30 10th pick, 8/12 the 12th pick and finished with the 8th pick. You didn't finish strong, you dropped. |

That way is to ask Brian lol even in June he was set for the 10th pick. I realize in June I was set to pick somewhere around there. My team had totally tanked the last month +, numerous 1-9 sims, before the last sim I was tied for the 3rd worst record and would have had the 3rd pick. I'm just bitching out loud, I'm not a proponent of tanking, just my luck, that is all. I did the right thing, Smalley was eligible to come off the DL, I put him back in the lineup for the last sim, he hit a couple of HR's, I went 7-3 down the stretch. It happens. Just pretty costly, that is all. |

even in June he was set for the 10th pick. I realize in June I was set to pick somewhere around there. My team had totally tanked the last month +, numerous 1-9 sims, before the last sim I was tied for the 3rd worst record and would have had the 3rd pick. I'm just bitching out loud, I'm not a proponent of tanking, just my luck, that is all. I did the right thing, Smalley was eligible to come off the DL, I put him back in the lineup for the last sim, he hit a couple of HR's, I went 7-3 down the stretch. It happens. Just pretty costly, that is all. 9/8 you were slated to pick 9th 9/16 you and 4 other teams all were tied for 4th with 58 wins. 9/23 you were tied with 1 team with 60 for 4th with 4 other teams had 61 or 62 wins at no point were you the 3rd pick your last 8 games only had 2 games with opponents over 500... |

I realize nobody gives a shit about it but me. yes 9/23 was the last. and all I'm pointing out is you were 4th or 5th depending on tie breaker but you had an incredibly easy schedule to finish the season with 4 teams only 2 or less back. I can understand the frustration, however the reality is you would have had to actively tried to finish worse than you did. |
