Monday 10/10/1982: John Fulgham fires 1-hitter against San Francisco
ATLANTA - John Fulgham took the mound and never left. And San Francisco hitters couldn't touch him at all. Atlanta's right-hander gave up just one hit in his 4th shutout of the season. He now has 6 career shutouts in 75 games started. 'Well, the ball went where I wanted it. I was able to hit the corners with all of my pitches.' Fulgham (23-2) struck out 2 and issued 2 BB, throwing 63 of 103 pitches for strikes. The hitting star for Atlanta was leftfielder Gary Roenicke, he got 2 hits in 3 AB, doubling once. Atlanta scored 3 runs on 5 hits.
