Braves 7/19

Pete: Hey Braves fans, it's Skip and Pete here with another wrap up in Braves baseball.


Skip: The Braves went 5-2 again over their last 7 games including a sweep of the second place Philly's to really open up their lead in the east.

Pete: the first two games the Braves just came out and dominated from start to finish, it was the third game that was the gem.

Skip: it sure was, I mean it was unbelievable.  After four innings the Braves were in danger of the 10 run rule

Pete: um, they don't have that in the majors

Skip: oh, well if they did they would have been in danger, as it was it was 9 - 1 philly's

Pete: yeah they were just getting smacked

Skip: in the 5th the Braves added 2

Pete: in the 6th another one so at the end of 6 innings it was 10-4 Philly's but then

Skip: in the 7th the Braves struck for 2 to make it 10-6 and then the 8th, they exploded for 6 runs bringing them their first lead and they added 2 more in the 9th to finish the game with 14 runs

Pete: The don't give up feeling of the game really sums up the vibe of the new number one hit this day 7/19/82
