Pete: Hey Braves fans, it's Skip and Pete here with another wrap up in Braves baseball.



Skip:  Another 5-2 stretch for the Braves

Skip: Seems to be a common pattern for them

Pete: yeah it does

Skip: started the 7 games off with back to back losses to the Padres when the offense seemed to have phoned it in.

Pete: Yeah pitching duels loosing 0-1 and 1-2

Skip: that really helped the w-l record in 1 run games

Pete: yeah...

Skip: Housman was the victim of the first only giving up 1 over 8 and then Thomas gave up 1 in the top of the 9th

Pete: unfortunately the offense did not bail him out in the bottom

Skip: Seaver took it on the chin in the 1 nuthin loss as he didn't allow an earned run, however an unearned crossed the plate and that was all Corkins for the Padres needed to get a win

Pete: Surprisingly the error was by Murph, who after the game said he felt like a goat and just wanted to run so far away from the reporters

Skip: if he had, he could have said  "I ran... so far away"

Pete: I see what you did there
