I know I overpaid for a reliever, but I am loaded at the 1B and SP position at the moment. This frees up 1B for Gus Triandos next season and still keep Vic Power backing up 1B and OF. I have several other SP prospects ready at the helm and I can always replace Freeman with whoever I can get with the extra first round pick, or take the 2 first round picks and move up in the draft.

Hyde is an interesting specimen that is young, still has room to grow, and hopefully will be an improvement over any of the fellow struggling in the bullpen. Hyde --> Gorman should hopefully close out games.

Place Freeman in AAA and Skowron on the ML roster. Send Ray Hawes back to AAA.

I didn't think I'd deal him, but long term this makes sense. Skowron has a lot of room to grow, Freeman looks like he'll be a really good Rotation add and as much as I like Hyde, getting a solid 24 year old power hitting 1B and possible top end rotation Starter is a chance I had to take.
