Wednesday 10/12/1983: Atlanta has no chance in a 2-hitter by Clay Kirby
ATLANTA - Clay Kirby had some fun again. Atlanta hitters did not. Los Angeles (N)'s right-hander gave up just 2 hits in his 5th shutout of the season. He now has 24 career shutouts in 340 games started. Kirby (20-6) struck out 9 and walked none, throwing 63 of 97 pitches for strikes. 'Hey, that's my job! Everytime I take the mound I give the best I can. And my best stuff was too much for them today.' Dave Concepcion helped Kirby at the plate, he finished 1 for 2, hitting a homerun, scoring twice.
