Yikes Snider and Ennis are pretty close in stats. Why didn't he get votes

Yikes Snider and Ennis are pretty close in stats. Why didn't he get votes Snider won like 5 mvp's or something and had to beat out guys like Hank and Eddie Mathews and Willie mays etc. Snider was arguably the biggest offensive star within the first 10 seasons of this leagues history. Not discrediting Ennis at all. He did a lot for you and the o's and has worthy stats as well. His resume just isn't the same as the Duke of Flatbush. Doesn't have the same number of accomplishments, nor any rings. |

Congratulations to Duke Snider of the 1963 Hall of Fame class. He has been elected unanimously.
Carl Erskine and Del Ennis did not receive the necessary votes for election. Both did receive enough votes to carryover to the 1964 ballot.
Happy trails to Minnie Minoso, Tom A Gorman and Ned Garver. None of them received enough votes for election or to carryover to a future ballot.

when is the next vote? been a while I started compiling the list for the next class a few weeks back. Right now I'm without a computer but hope to get it up before seasons end. |
