well Braves fans this past week was far better for you than the opening of the season.
the week saw them go 5-1 which included a three game sweep of the Cards and finished with a pitching dual against Pittsburgh's rookie sensation Dan Petry. Matlack took the mound for the Braves and he was just lights out getting his second shutout of the season, and 20th of his career. It was Matlack's second win of the week, as he also was on the mound for 7 inningg in the 5-1 win over the Cubs to start the week.
John Fulgham pitching woes continued as he picked up the lone loss giving up 5 runs over 5IP against the Cubs. Lets hope his inability to get wins isn't a hard habit to break.
