Well with everyone thinking the Braves had packed it in this year, they went oyt and did an 8 day 6-1 stretch to propel themselves into 2nd place in the NL east.
Their chance of staying there though is slim and none as they have been indicating that this is a year that they are toning down, with a look to the future.
That said there is still excitement in the air as Reggie chases history closing in on his 500th homer of his career. Sadly with all the Braves success this past 8 days, he didn't send a single ball over the wall for a homer, and only picked up a single stolen base in he quest to get to 500 of those. The 6 time allstar is having a tough time at the plate thus far this season as he is hitting below the mendoza line.
Hopefully when he gets the 500/500 it'll be at home so everyone can feel the noise. Come on out to the ballpark to cheer him on and you'll feel it too.
