Trade Deadline and Prospect Callups Deadline coming up. Looks like it will be in a couple weeks --- I am not simming after Wednesday/Thursday as I will be on vacation all Christmas week and might as well extend trade deadline --- to probably the 31st. Hopefully by then I'll have a couple new owners by then, that'd be my XMAS gift =)

Monday 7/18/1984: Mattingly (NYA) and Lemon (PHI) win P.O.W. award
Don Mattingly from New York (A) wins his 4th Player of the Week award for putting up the best numbers this week in the American League. He had an on base percentage of .581 and hit .542, while driving in 8 runs. Philadelphia's centerfielder Chet Lemon had some reason to celebrate as well, as the league named him the National League Player of the Week. Chet was on fire, hitting .333 with 3 HR and 12 RBI. Lemon has hit for a .257 average this season. He has 43 extra base hits along with 159 total bases, resulting in a .523 slugging percentage.
