To be fair, anything listed as "day to day" isn't a real injury. Idk why players can only play when their day to day % is above 80, but regardless, the A's will need more than just health to finally make the playoffs for the first time hopefully soon.

i be tanking for the year.  Reggie is playing SS just so he got the HR's he needed to take 8th place on the all time list, else he wouldn't have been in.

The league really needs to have a productive discussion about what the definition of tanking is, what is acceptable and what is not, and what the potential penalties are. Preferably before 1985 starts.

We had one a couple of seasons ago, but I don't think anything came of it other than if you're at .333 halfway through the season, you might be forced to sign the best available free agents.

I agree.  I mean I'm a top 10 team in wins yet somehow this is worse than people not doing their best to field the best team possible.

Brian stated a long time ago he wanted to tank to FPR Smoltz. I understand the points here made by everyone, but I also understand Brian’s personal prerogative because he wants Smoltz and will do whatever he can to attain the rights to draft him.

It's not often but I agree with break. You were right in the wildcard race. If a gm did that in real life. He'd be fired. Coming from me it may be odd... As my team may suck this year but I always make sure I'm not just playing crap either... Like guys with 1 in runs against or 3 in hits.

And all the years I kept my team competing. I never once thought about playing crappier guys to lower my draft position or rig the fpr costs.

I played him there to get him AB's to hopefully get him HR's and went 4-3 for the 7 game series....

and ignored there were way better players in the open FA market that you could sign for MLC.  I mean shit, this is rich.  Had you actually made an attempt you would have had to reserve roger and not just got him with the first pick.  give up your next two 1st and all further FP reservations as punishment or get of your soap box of unrightful indignation
