So Braves fans, the Braves really responded to Tom Terrific's speech and went out and played 500 ball. The lone bright spot was taking the two games against the Mets to not allow the Mets to make up ground in the division.
Playing 500 with home field through the playoffs on the line, just isn't a smart strategy.
The Gem of the week was the 1-0 win vs the Mets where Fulgham got his 16th win and Corbett notched his 50th save. This is the 2nd time Folgham as notched up at least 50 in a season. The last time he set a MLB record by getting 56.
The hard luck loss for the week was the 0-1 loss to the Pirates. The Count went 7, only gave up a single run and got his 6th loss of the season. Talk about no run support.
Hope the offenses broken wings mend before the playoff start.
