Nothing gets me angrier than seeing bad or mediocre teams calling up top notch prospects too soon, for no good reason. I don't have the research to prove it, but I'm certain it often stunts their development, and in most cases, it is burning thru cheap contract years when a team is no where near ready to compete. I won't call out anybody by name, but I've already seen it happen this year with two different teams. Guarantee these teams will be near the bottom of the standings in a few years, as they burn up their good prospects.

And just as often I've had guys tearing up AAA for a season or two with 4-5 as ratings and took PD hits because I was waiting for them to develop more.
It's hit or miss. Unless they're at 1-2-3 ratings, I see no issues on how someone else wants to run their team.

I never rush my guys up. I may have in LBB when I was first learning OOTP, but I wait until 5/6 in hits for hitters and 5-6 in runs for pitchers. Basic shit.

I wait until they hit a 5 in one of their hits categories and then bring them up age depnending. If they're at a 5 and 19 ill let em cook in AAA for a year

With that being said..............you're rushing your guys. Just saying. I get being in a hurry to get the studs up, believe me, I'm chomping at the bit. You better prove it to me at AAA before you come up. I could MAYBE make an argument for Stuart, but cleanup hitter? Um, no. The two starting pitchers aren't ready. Watch and see.

I'm guessing Drysdale posts an ERA close to 5, McBride close to 6 and ends up back in AAA and Stuart hits around .235 with 12 homers, all on the way to another 100 loss season. Wager?

No way I call up Drysdale yet.
And probably not Daniels....or Brewer.
BB rating too low on all of them.
I want to call up a couple of mine, mainly McClain, but letting him develop a little more in AAA since I just increased his hits rating recenyly.

Exactly on Drysdale. I see him doing exactly what Clevenger(sp) did. Struggling, b/c he isn't ready yet.

lol I'll admit Pitt was one of the two teams I was referencing in calling up a player too soon this season. And yes, Drysdale was that player. But I don't have any attachment to Drysdale in real life. Even though I have the Dodgers in two leagues, I'm certainly not a Dodger fan.

Meh Drysdale's hits are a 6. I don't see how that doesn't look ready.

Meh Drysdale's hits are a 6. I don't see how that doesn't look ready. In this game BB are more important that hits. I look more at BB and HR like Chris.

It's the 4 in BB for Drysdale that will make it a terribly long season for him. Make him a spot starter or reliever this season. Let him have 10-15 starts

Meh Drysdale's hits are a 6. I don't see how that doesn't look ready. He got pounded in AAA last year and now you think he's ready for the bigs? He honestly should have spent 54 in AA probably and then moved up to AAA once he mastered AA. I need to see my guys master the level they are at before I call them up. Exceptions would be 25 year old role player type guys, but even then, if they can't hit AAA, I'm not calling them up. If I have a lefty reliever who has positive splits vs. left handed hitters, I don't care if the Runs is a 3 or a 4 if the hits vs. lefties is solid. I've got two guys in Striker and Rabe that will get called up soon, and most guys will probably think I'm rushing them. My stud starters? No way. I'm hoping Stanka sees some bullpen time this year in the bigs. Most guys would see his ratings and have him starting. And struggling. I felt Cash and Altman were very close. I just still want to see more at AAA before they come up. I don't like calling guys up only to have to send them down later.

I have read this thoroughly and have decided to keep my bats in AAA, it is causing physical pain.
