1. Is it normal for a player that suffers a season ending injury to not be ready by the start of the next season? Camp got hurt last season, season ending injury, and he is going to miss the first two weeks of this season. I don't remember that happening in the past. 2. This probably won't gain any traction, but I propose that any team that wins their league (at this point) cannot lose fan expectation reward points. So like last year, the Dodgers' expectation was something like 106 wins, and I finished with 103 or so, and lost a point. There is no way my fans were disappointed with winning 103 games, and going to the WS. So my proposal would be that in similar situations, the team simply gets no adjustment, plus or minus, for fan expectations. 3. Ten years from now, people will claim it was easy for the Dodgers to win Titles given our payroll. I just wanted to point out that I'm starting this season with only the 5th highest NL payroll this year, and 6th overall.

1. Yes, very common.
2. For instance, let's say the 1998 Yankees were expected to win 115 games, but they win 98 instead and barely make the playoffs as a wildcard team. I'd be disappointed as a fan. How about teams cannot lose more than 3 points if they make the playoffs?
3. I think the issue is revenue, not payroll. With high revenues, you can support a high payroll forever. I don't mind if a mid-market team spends more than they make in a season (loses money) if they believe that that was their year, but a team with high revenues NEVER has to worry about that. That's why I put in several financial limitations, to improve parity. We don't have much parity now in the AL because the Yankees were STACKED. I think this year is the first year the Yankees come back to earth with Raschi and Lopat gone.

I'm not used to having a high payroll in OOTP. Gets me hard.

Revenue doesn't help me win if I'm not using it.
I banked a lot of excess cash into my stadium fund in GABL, and never once used it.
My comment was mostly in jest, but I thought it was interesting.
