Well baseball fans, here we are, at the mid point of the season, with 11 teams in realistic reach of getting to the promise land of playing past the 1st of October.
AL EAST
in all of Baseball the marque is the Yankees that are just on fire with already 60 wins, which is 9 more than anyone in the AL and 8 more than in the NL, and they look to be a shoo-in to take the east.
Boston is in second and currently in position to again be the wild card for the AL, with 50 wins.
AL Central
KC is currently holding a 4 game lead over the Brewers in what looks to be a winner take all scenario for getting into the post season.
AL West
In a close back and forth, Texas and Seattle have been duking it out all season, but currently Seattle has the upper hand with a 2 game lead in the west, however Texas' 49 wins is just a game back from Boston for the 4th spot.
It will be interesting to see how the second half plays out.
The one team on the cusp, is Cleveland, with 45 wins, only 5 back from the WC spot. With all their moves this off season, could they surprise everyone and burst out of the woods, or is it just someones wildest dreams, and this commentators view, saying the to the fans you are in love to even believe such a thing could happen and leaving everyone with blank spaces for a facial reaction to Cleveland regaining the glory of the post season.
NL West
Here baseball fans it the battle of the season, seeing which of the Dodgers and Giant's can claim home field through the playoffs. they are the creme de la creme of the NL. Each has 52 wins at the midseason mark.
NL Central
The Pirates are running away with the Central and the Cards look like they are doing a mini rebuild, before the Pirates economics causes them to implode.
The new owner for the Reds looks like he is gearing up for trying to dominate the Central for years to come. While the changes being made seem innocuous, they are warning signals that the Reds will be financially more viable than they have been for the previous several decades.
NL East
The Mets have finally come alive after 3 seasons of having the core group together and are now looking down on the once dominant Braves.
Granted it is only 2 games separating them, however the Mets have slowly been on the rise after a slow start, whereas the Braves played sub .500 ball for over a month.
