Well Braves fans, another week with more wins than losses, while it was only 4-3, that was still just enough to edge back in front of the Mets for 1st place in the NL East. That said, unless this team starts to gel, it would be a short ride in the post season, as losing the series to the Cubs 2-1 is just inexcusable.
The current hard luck pitcher is John Matlack, 0-1 with a 2.25 ERA in his last 3 starts.
U.L. Washington continues to be amazing, and is probably should be called Mr Brave for his consistency of being awesome. Every day he comes to play, and he is anonymous with all the marque names here in Atlanta, but he quietly continues to just be awesome. He just won Player of the Week award again, hitting .483 with 4 HR, 8 RBI.
The #62 rock song of 87. Still sorta remember the first time I saw them live. Was at the Hollywood (FL) Sportatorium. Shit hole of a place, which made it amazing for seeing concerts. Was f'n exhausted, but was like, never seen them before, nothing better to do, so bought the tickets spur of the moment and went... literally passed out standing up during one of their signature songs... the one about Huck's buddy
End result hell of a show and glad I went.
Looking back I realize I'm lucky for all the bands I got to see live back when it was for the fans and not just a fuckin money grab.
