Well Braves fans, we all knew the day would likely come this season, but on Aug 20th, Jon reached what few pitchers do nowadays, and won his 200th game. With the specialization that has been happening with pitching, it seems like the 200 win mark will become what was once the 300 win mark for a career, and we wont see many, if any ever hit 300 again. the likes of Seaver reaching that milestone are going to be few and far between, and so the likes of anyone hitting 200 wins should be celebrated in style. Jon came to the Braves as a journeyman that had spent time with the Padres, Twins and Orioles before finding his home in Atlanta, and then went on to terrorize NL batters since arriving in 1979. Since 79, Jon has won 120 games, been an allstar 3 times, won the Cy Young, and a WS ring, as a member of the Braves. In 82, he also struck out 211 batters, which is the most by any Brave in a long long time. Currently this season he leads all Braves with 176 K's and with 3 starts left, the question is, can he eclipse 200 one more time? While Jon doesn't have any shutouts this year, he holds the high water mark for shutouts for a season since the 70's with the Braves, as far as I can remember, with 7 the year he won the Cy Young. The # 36 Rock song of 87,
