Budgeting myself when trying to compete would be significantly tougher without being able to trade points for cash, which in turn would make this league less fun for me. I want a ring. Not more challenges towards me getting said ring.

Like how else could people budget themselves in this particular league that has insane salaries left and right and plenty of pitchers that majority of which will want $10-12 mil + per season in extension talks? Honestly can't think of any other legit financial solutions to cover my ass when the payroll goes over $100 mil, which often happens when I'm trying to win.

what would happen is more players would end up in FA, they would sign to smaller contracts, and it would help with the salary inflation. yeah it would suck for those that use points to generate money, but... it would also cause salaries in general to go down.
