Well Braves fans, the lead up to the WS was again a pretty mundane performance by our boys in blue.
For the 2 week stretch they eked out a .500 record going 6-6
they split the last 2 games of the 4 game stand against the Reds to start the stretch ending that series 3-1.
next up came a 2-1 series win against the Cubs, then came back to back series (home then away) against the Central leading Pirates 1-2, 2-1, and ended the first 1/2 of the season with a loss to the Expos.
For the first half of the season, while the Braves do keep winning, they do so at seemingly the expense of their own personal success. The quad power babies are all on pace for career lows in HR, and Julio Cruz is batting almost a full 100 points lower than his career.
