Well Braves fans, for just the 2nd time in the Braves storied history, did they bring home the trophy! When the GM set the lineup, he had no idea that the coach would start Robinson, the last game of the season to ruin what would have been the rotation that was decided on before the playoffs as the final game against NYM meant nothing. So the post season line up ended up Maddux Matlack Robinson Against the Mets Maddux went 0-2 Matlack and Robinson, the Braves won in their starts. This lead to the rotation against SFG being Robinson Maddux Matlack and after the first 4 games, games started by Robinson the Braves were 0-2, and 0-1 in Matlack's Start, with the lone win being Maddux. Maddux was up in game 5 to stave off elimination, and that is exactly what he did, starting an unrepresented run of only 1 run allowed in 3 games, and gaining his 2nd win against the Giants. While he started slow against the Mets, Greg stepped up when the Braves needed him the most, and then down 3-2 game 6 and 7 they didn't give up a single run to close out the series 4-3 after being down 3-1. This set the Braves rotation back to: Maddux Matlack Robinson Maddux went 2-0 to winning game 1 and sealing the deal with a win in game 4, and in 4 games the Braves only gave up 5 runs, in the best defensive effort winning a WS this reporter has seen since coming onto this beat. Today during the ring ceremony the team was presented with their 88 rings
