Well Braves fans, here we are 2 weeks in on the 1989 campaign as they embark on trying to get lightning to strike in back to back years, opening the season 11-4 and 6-3 against the NL East.
They start out 4-2 in 1 run games, and 1-0 in their lone extra inning games, both of those type games, they had issues with last year.
John Smoltz, also seems to have finally shown signs of turning the corner after being so so the last two years, and started out 4-0 over the first 15 games.
Defense still is the name of the game in hot 'Lanta as only 4 games did they give up 4 or more runs, however those were all losses, so the Brave pitchers are still feeling the heat of not being able to give up any runs.

While the lyrics are kinda cheesy always liked this song because the heavy drum beat opening and was a good ol fashion jam of a song
