Well Braves fans they finally cooled off a tad and went 4-2 on the week, going 2-1 against the Expos and 2-1 versus the Dodgers in the last two, three game series, and finishing the 6 games this week with a win over the Mets.
All in all a pretty good week though going against the some of the best teams in the NL.
Bob Horner picked up Player of the Week honors for the 4th time, and second time since coming to Atlanta this past week, cranking out 4 dingers.
Around the league, Toronto decided to flex its muscle and has opened up a 2 game lead on Baltimore, Cleveland and New York, as this has the making of the most exciting division race ever. Toronto was the first to make a big move before the frenzie even started bringing in a closer from the Giants.
In the NL Central, the Pirates got hot to tie the division back up with the Cards that have had a slow last 10 games.
Out in the NL West SFG and LAD continue their mirrored existence this year, still have the same record, and both are now above .500.
This prognosticator had the Giants walking away with the NL this year, after how they dominated the end of last season... right up till Atlanta's pitching put the NLCS series on their shoulder.
How this is only the #76 rock song of 89, I have no idea. One of the greatest songs ever, and it's always amazing to see live.
