it's also pretty quick to look at ST files after importing them in to run ST

If we change the rule it has to take place immediately. Can't allow a 5 year grandfather clause on players that are already in the league. That would just be an incentive for everyone to turn every MR possible into a starter before the clause ends.

the more I think about it, I've come off the fence I was on, and allowing relievers to be made into stud starters shouldn't be allowed.

I think it would allow for some great future closers to stay closers. I think its the right move. Maybe a 2 season grace period for current pitchers in the process

Feel like it's pretty clear which way it's going to go.

I guess whether the rule already exists is irrelevant. The poll can be treated as whether we want to permit it at all going forward.
I was planning to attempt to make Brian Meyer a starter, but I guess that's out of the question if we implement it immediately.
I guess it shall be so. I will modify the rules such that conversion from reliever to starter, from this point forward, shall be prohibited.

Does seem unfair to those teams that were in the process of converting someone.

I would counter that it’s BEEN unfair to those of us who didn’t understand how it worked and thereby never took advantage of the rule

Should all GMs be required to announce any information that gives them an advantage? Should Brian need to share ball park and revenue data he discovered that is within the rules? Should I be required to share ST info that Ive discovered that is within the rules? It sucks you didnt know about it but is it our responsibility to make sure you do? It was in the rules.

I get it, but I would also counter that for the last number of seasons I've googled, searched OOTPdevelopments.com forums, etc trying to find something that I was missing in Spring Training that clearly a number of GM's in this league were taking advantage of. Some of it is time/effort, but if there are little glitches in the game that some GM's know about, and others don't, then there's a comment that "let's face it, some GM's don't care enough about winning", when I literally probably export as much if not more than anyone, then yeah, it's a little irritating. If I had the keys to the kingdom and kept winning I wouldn't want to share it either. I do appreciate that you reached out to me, and another GM has as well, but let's face it, not everyone was playing by, or, taking advantage of, the same rules, which is a lot of why we have a bunch of have's and a bunch of have nots.

Ive experimented in ST in solo leagues for years. Not sure that info is something I need to share with everyone.
