I vote yes with a MR duration of A. You can draft a MR with B or C and work 2 or 3 seasons to up his duration and then hopefully he becomes an SP. That shows that a GM purposefully took 3-5 seasons working to make that pitcher (maybe a 2nd rounder) into a great starter. Happens in big leagues because someone worked with that pitcher in ST.
IMO

Yeah if the MR duration is A, I'm cool with the rule, but if people don't want it, that's fine too. As long as everyone is on the same page, that's the important part imo.

Why is this a poll?
It's in the rules already.

Why is this a poll? It's in the rules already. There's been enough turnover, seeing what the league thoughts are now.

Apparently most are doing it regardless. I thought it was frowned upon.
I guess I can start to do it then.

Based on the responsee here I feel like this poll should be more specific.

Embarrassed... but what do the rules say?
I thought like the major leagues anybody can pitch anywhere at anytime. Use a C or D duration guy as a starter might eventually wear out your bullpen anyway. It is confusing.

This rule is specific to relievers with no starter duration. Some of the better closers and relievers can be transitioned to starters without actually having starter duration to start.
Ive used this tactic to my advantage because my main adversary at the time used it to his. It was legal and completely within the HOFFBL rules.
If the no vote wins it would essentially mean only players with starter duration whem created would be allowed to start.

Per the rules..
Relief Pitchers must have an "A" rating at relief duration and be less than 30 years of age at the time of Spring Training in order to be trained as a Starter. Violation of this rule will result in the player's starter duration removed and relief duration reduced to "E".
It's already been addressed. Is this poll to outright ban it?

Yes. It would be a reversal of this rule.

You just have to look at post spring training development logs. It says if a pitcher learns starter duration.
