The 1990 season has started, and while not dominating, the Braves first two weeks have them in first place in the rough and tumble NL East. Going 9-6 over their first 15 is just good enough to eek out a one game lead versus the 8-7 Mets.

Pitching has again been the boon of the team, with the power hitters asleep in the batters box, featuring the likes of Murphy hitting just .045.

Smoltz has had the hottest hand, and is tied with the league leaders of 3 wins a piece in the early goings of this season.
