Holy cow NL Central fans, if the rumors are true, St Louis is looking to reshuffle their players for picks and studds in the minors and have given up fighting the injuries this year. This would all but lock the division for the Pirates to walk away with their 5th straight Pennant. With the star power of the Cards, it'll be interesting to see who ends up where, as there are some amazing players on the team that just hasn't lived up to the preseason prognostications.
Over in the east, The Mets and the Braves played as well as the other and the lead for the Braves is still 6 games, for the third straight week. Montreal and Phili are wishing they were in the central as then they would only be 1 game back instead of 11.
The west, is still the Giants, which have rattled off a 7 game win streak to increase their lead over the Dodgers to 15. Not much suspense coming from the West as to how the season will end, unless things turn around somehow...
Cleveland was the big mover over the last couple days, Bringing in Rags to see if he can shore up the pitching staff, and let them make a run for the wild card. Toronto has now taken the best record from Cleveland and has opened up a very comfortable lead over the tribe, at 12.
Chicago after being unstoppable, has fell on hard times, though is still leading the Central by 6 over Detroit. Right now Detroit is 1 game out of the WC race, and has been playing very well the last couple weeks, and has won 7 of the last 10.
California is still managing to hold of those that wish to take the West lead from them, and now the new challenger is last years division leader. Has Texas finally become woke to the realization the West wasn't going to just let them win two straight?
NYY Rob Deer decided that the wrong New York team was getting attention and went our and crushed it this week giving him a commanding lead for most HR in the league, now with 17. He also is smacking people home like no tomorrow, already with 55 and we're not even at the halfway mark on the season.
