Surprisingly SF only has like 1 exceptional brewery.
They do have tons of spots to get great California micros though. The breweries them self are pretty meh.

I work at a pub and buy beer. It isnt in SF but it is near Caltrain which is essentially the main public transit between SF and San Jose.

There’s a ton of micro breweries in Houston. One of them is about 10 minutes down the street. Not sure if anyone has had any 8th Wonder, St. Arnold’s, or Karbach but they are all Houston breweries. I know most have heard of Shiner, that’s about 2 hours away.
I wouldn’t mind sending a few of you some of the local brews. I do brew my own beer, getting much better with every batch. I usually brew IPAs and heffenweizens.

Keith’s was great when the other options were Canadian and Laker, but now that there are so many great microbrews it’s pretty far down the list. |

I love IPA's. The more bold and flavorful, the better. NY has some good brands, such as Sloop and Captain Lawrence, among others. Once this virus finally dies down I definitely wanna go to some breweries later this year now that school is done.

Also if anyone ever goes to Cooperstown for the HOF, do yourself a favor and stop at Ommegang before leaving, which is a short drive away. Great brewery and the tastings were exceptional. Went 4 summers ago and still remember it well.
