May 3, 1991-Transactions RP Steve Karsay to AA Shreveport
The Colorado Rockies announced the promotion of RP Steve Karsay to AA Shreveport. Karsay was taken by the Rockies with the 11th pick of the 2nd round of the 1991 Amateur Draft.
Over 15 innings in San Jose Karsay posted a 0.60 ERA and a 1.13 WHIP, allowing 10 hits and striking out 10 while walking 7. Karsay still has a lot of work to do to reign in his control

but he was clearly overwhelming A ball batters with his stuff, AA will most likely prove to be more of a challenge.

- Former St. Johns and current Philadelphia 76er guard Jayson Williams also graduated from Christ the King. He was four years ahead of Karsay in school
