An August surge to the tune of 16-11 was far from being enough to get the Brew Crew back into the AL wild card conversation. Now the talks among fans and, if you believe the chatter, is the first true rebuild in franchise history. Having already sent fan favourite Joe Charboneau to the White Sox at the deadline, thoughts have turned to who will be part of the roster going forward. Is Tino Martinez the 1A or 1B middle of the line up slugger the team hopes he will be? Will staff ace Kevin Tapani sign a long term extension after his big breakout this season? Are names like Nixon, Galaragga, Cone and Parent worth more as trade chips than they are as veteran mentors moving forward? Only time will tell.

Rookie Watch top Pitching prospect Anthony Young remains the only rookie on the roster. Milwaukee appears to be bringing his young arm along slowly by giving him longer than normal breaks between starts including the last whole week of August off.
